I know it has been 3 long weeks since I posted anything!! Though I would like to blame it on my hectic work travels, I shouldn’t let my blog crave for more ☹. For now, I am here till Xmas eve and then I am off again for another 3 weeks. But I promise, I will post more regularly as long as I find a spatula and flame!
Here is wishing you a merry Xmas and a very happy new year and may you find 2015 as silky and smooth as “Panna Cotta” topped with loads of “Passion” in what ever you do…
Panna Cotta with Passion Fruit
375 ml of cream (I used Amul cream)
125 ml of full cream milk
2-teaspoon vanilla extract OR 1 pod of vanilla scraped
60 grams of sugar
2.5 sheets of gelatin
1 tablespoon of rum (Old monk wink emoticon )
2 passion fruits scooped
Bring cream, milk, sugar and vanilla to a just boil over low flame, stirring it constantly and take it out of the heat and add the rum. Soak the gelatin in cold water until soft and then add it to the mixture and slowly stir it until it dissolves.
Let the mixture cool down a bit and pour it in moulds and refrigerate it for 3-4 hours for setting. Warm the mould (in warm water ) so that it comes out easily for serving.
Serve it with passion fruit as shown in the pic
