Sandy’s Fish Bhujna

Every time I post a recipe, I want people to get it right. I wonder if Im anywhere close to that.. This is adapted from the Pathare Prabhu’s Fish Bhujna. Try it and pl let me know.

Sandy’s Fish Bhujna (Fish in Fenugreek)

500 grams of fish cut in to pieces (Bombil or Pomfret or Gol fish Preferred)
2 tablespoon of kashmiri chilly powder
4 tablespoon of oil
1 tablespoon fresh ginger garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon haldi powder
6-8 kokkum
1-2 green chillies slit (optional)
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lime

1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves
6 tablespoon of chopped Fenugreek leaves (Methi Leaves)

*** One can also use Red Snapper or Rawas

In a shallow pot, mix kashmiri chilly powder to lime juice and mix well with your hand. Add the fish and our water just about to cover the fish pieces(make sure the pot is just large enough to fit the fish pieces evenly). Add chopped coriander leaves and fenugreek leaves and mix well. Turn on the heat to high and bring it to boil and then simmer it for 10-15 mins (for Bombil not more than 5-8 mins). Let it rest for 10 mins out of the heat and its done.
